Following the project Building Tottochan School – first season in 2016 in the village of Bu Ka campus 2– a satellite campus of Long Ha C Elementary School (Bu Ka II village, Long Ha commune, Phu Rieng district, Binh Phuoc province) . This year, the project resumed in 2017 to bring its mission to a new destination – Ma Noi primary school (Ha Dai school) Ha Dai hamlet, Ma Noi commune, Ninh Son district, Ninh Thuan – a school for Raglai’s children.

According to Ninh Thuan Tourist, “Ma Noi is an especially difficult commune of Ninh Son district. With the familiar lifestyle of ethnic minorities, children usually follow their parents up with production in the field. Stemming from this situation, Ma Noi primary school annually pays attention to mobilize sufficient grade age children. The most difficult condition of students in Ma Noi commune in the dry season is that they often follow their parents in the fields or collect coffee in Lam Dong province, which leads to the dropouts …The main campus of the school is built in U hamlet and the other three sites in Gia Hoa, Do, Ha Dai have totally 26 rooms”.

Ha Dai site school – the next destination of project “Building Tottochan School 2017
After a field trip to Ma Noi commune, SECC realized the difficulties of the children here in the living and learning conditions. In 2016-2017, Ma Noi primary school has 477 students over 24 classes, located at 4 campuses (U hamlet, Do hamlet , Ha Dai hamlet and Gia Hoa hamlet). In particular, the school of Ha Dai hamlet has 101 students over 5 classes, which own limited facilities and quality of education. Therefore, SECC has a desire to organize project “Building Tottochan School 2017” in Ma Noi school, Ha Dai hamlet so that it can provide them with skills, knowledge, independence as well as supply them with more attention and care in accordance with the mission “Create moments change fates”.

The estimated cost to organize Tottochan class – 2nd season is 292,650,000 VND, which includes cost of designed standard textbook and teaching programes, cost of project launching, cost of project proceeding, cost of well drilling for Ma Noi, cost of management and HR, and other costs (detailed costs are attached below).

This project is co-founded by MA Trinh Dinh Thi Vu and the beginning of it was taken inspiration from autobiographical books of Tet-su-she- Ambassador of UNICEF-with Tottochan by the window. The memoir tells about Tomoe primary school, where successful people are born from nurturing the good and separate values themselves in a natural way, not in a way that older people want.
SECC wants to create a change for them as well as closely link with family education for their children to live out their world. This lasting project of SECC is annually organized in July. Specifically, this project will take place in a random school to educate them vital life skills, impress their life with the meaning of happiness and make people happy. Besides that, we also desire to support them with essential facilities so that they can participate in Tottochan class.
